Karin Silverstone

Karin Silverstone is a Guelph artist and educator who is exploring different approaches to art using found materials and a variety of papers to create textured backgrounds for her landscapes.

The challenge

Karin had a website with Northern Village for some time, however, she wanted it updated to ensure that it worked well on mobile devices, and showcased her new work. As a part-time artist (and part-time teacher), she appreciates how the website informs people interested in her artwork.

The solution

Northern Village worked with Karin to find a good way to display the main themes and evolution of her work. We duplicated her original website as a basis for the newly organized website. The homepage presents a photo of one of her textured paintings, and the top part of the painting remains consistent throughout the website. Karin easily edits the content of her website using the Northern Village CMS.
