David Caesar
David Caesar believes that it is a symptomatic trend in the contemporary art world that a large number of artists are illustrating the connection between humankind and nature in one way or another. As this connection becomes less evident, it is tempting to regard this trend as a kind of separation anxiety.
The challenge
David was interested in presenting in his paintings the mysterious in the everyday -- the juxtapositions and strange relationships between the realms of pattern and chaos.
The solution
The website presents the paintings with limited text to let the paintings speak for themselves. They are displayed in a relatively large format to clearly reveal his attention to detail. Website design was provided by Heather Finlayson of Mere Name Design.
