Toronto Elixir

Toronto Elixir is a group of Elixir and Phoenix Web Framework enthusiasts that meets regularly to explore the Elixir programming language and related technologies. Northern Village uses Elixir with the Phoenix framework for its software as a service applications.

Three video tutorial thumbnails about Elixir programming: Raft consensus algorithm, metaprogramming basics, and server log viewing in browser.

The challenge

Toronto Elixir had a basic website hosted through GitHub, and wanted to have a better looking site, one where session videos could be hosted and meeting recordings could be posted. This was especially valuable during COVID as all meetings were happening over Zoom.

The solution

Northern Village moved the website over to an easily updated CMS. New meetups can easily be added, as can videos that are stored on the Toronto Elixir YouTube Channel. Northern Village provides this website as a community service.
