Jane Stark / Roe House Press

Jane Eliza Stark is an osteopathic manual practitioner who lives and practices in the countryside near Guelph. Jane has had an interest in the important osteopaths and corresponding events of the late 1800s, culminating in her newly-released book, Journeyman: William Garner Sutherland, the Formative Years (1873-1900).

Journeyman: William Garner Sutherland, the Formative Years (1873-1900) chronicles the early life and times of William Garner Sutherland (1873-1954), the osteopathic physician who is acknowledged as the originator and developer of the osteopathic cranial concept.

The challenge

Jane Stark needed a website to publicize her self-published book Journeyman: William Garner Sutherland, The Formative Years (1873-1900). She wanted it to include an outline of the book, and some interesting history. The site also had to make it easier for visitors to purchase the book online.

The solution

Northern Village created a basic site for Jane to describe her book. She was comfortable with the software for updating her current site for her osteopathic business. We used the Shopify "Buy Button" to integrate a shopping cart right into the website, with links to booksellers who are also selling her book.
