Northern Village Successfully Re-certifies as a B Corp

Northern Village has officially re-certified as a B Corp again, and once again we improved our score!

It is a true pleasure to be part of a community of over 9,900 companies world-wide that believes in being in business as a force for good. The Declaration of Interdependence is something that every B Corp needs to sign.

We envision a global economy that uses business as a force for good. This economy is comprised of a new type of corporation - the B Corporation - which is purpose-driven and creates benefit for all stakeholders, not just shareholders. As B Corporations and leaders of this emerging company, we believe:

• That we must be the change we seek in the world.
• That all business ought to be conducted as if people and place mattered.
• That, through their products, practices, and profits, businesses should aspire to do no harm and benefit all.

To do so requires that we act with the understanding that we are dependent upon another and thus responsible for each other and future generations.

In business as a force for good

Northern Village feels that being a B Corp is very important, as it brings us into a community that is in business as a force for good. Our work with social benefit organizations, whether that is to create or update a website, or to write software that improves processes and interaction with constituents. 

Further, we expend our connection with other B Corps, by being involved in with B Local Ontario, bringing together B Corps to work together. Arni is the Chair of B Local Ontario.
