Canadian Poultry Research Council
The Canadian Poultry Research Council (CPRC) is an industry-led organization with a mandate to support poultry research in Canada. CPRC’s mission is to address its Members’ needs through dynamic leadership in the creation and implementation of programs for poultry research in Canada, which may also include societal concerns. CPRC also supports the training of highly qualified people for Canada’s poultry sector.
The Challenge
The CPRC approached us with a request to update their website, as their users were identifying issues with navigation, accessing resources, and overall site design. One of the primary challenges was that hundreds of research documents were not easily retrievable. The site also needed to be accessible to French-speaking users.
The Solution
Using the page data feature provided by Yikesite, the platform on which we build our websites, we were able to redesign how the CPRC website presents research articles. Staff are able to easily update and organize content using a custom-built interface. This allows the logic of the site design to organize research articles automatically, if staff click to add content to the correct categories, upon uploading. We also added the ability to view the site in French, and provided a clean, visually lighter, more modern website design.
