VSW provides support, referrals, safety planning, advocacy and education services that are designed with a victim centred approach. They accept referrals from community agencies, emergency services, and self-referrals.
We had an outdated website that was in desperate need of a total overhaul. The reason we put this project off was basically the time it takes and the cost. After researching different website designers, we decide Northern Village would be a good a good fit for us. They were very organized and had me provide them with the information we needed changed, so qe quickly reached a finished product. The time and the cost were not nearly as problematic as I had anticipated. Would highly recommend!
The challenge
VSW wanted to update forms, statistics, and partner logos but also create a new Resources page to showcase informative videos and guides, and add a Feedback & Complaints policy. They had a limited budget and wanted to maintain their basic design while upgrading the overall functionality of the site.
The solution
We rebuilt their site on the latest version of our website platform, and transferred all of their existing content, which we further updated. We used JavaScript to animate their statistics and Formstack to host their forms. We froze the sleek header so that the Escape button would always be visible to users, and added a few photos of people to humanize the site design. We also renamed pages to make it easier for users to find the relevant information.
