Karyotekk
Karyotekk is the only commercial animal karyotyping service in Canada. Their goal is to diagnose reproductive abnormalities that affect producers' herds and improve their breeding strategy. Located at the University of Guelph, Karyotekk works with the Animal Health Laboratory (AHL), and Reproductive Biotechnology and Health Laboratory (RBHL) to provide high quality, cost effective testing. Under the direction of Dr. Allan King, Karyotekk and its partners offer over 40 years of experience in conventional and molecular cytogenetics, cellular and genome research, training and project management in both the public and private domains.
The challenge
Karyotekk wanted a website to promote their new commercial venture, outlining the services that they offer, as well as education about karyotyping as a multistep process that transforms live cells into examinable digital images of chromosomes.
The solution
Northern Village worked with Karyotekk to create an outline to organize the content that was provided by the client. Northern Village created the logo and the design for the website and implemented the site so it works on all devices, including accessibility devices.
