Client goals
Hatch Industries originally wanted their extensive and diverse product lines to be easily accessible online for customers, sales staff and other visitors to the website. With the steady increase in the number of products on their website, they wanted to take advantage of newer techniques to better display the website on mobile as well as on wide screens. Their ultimate goal was to provide the best possible online access to their product lines for both their customers and their sales staff.Implementation
Northern Village simplified the design of the website to ensure maximum use of screen real estate across all devices and included a pop-in side menu. On larger screen sizes, the side menu allows for quicker access to their wide range of products, making it possible to drill down to specific products quickly and easily. The website was confirmed to be accessibility compliant to AODA / WCAG 2.0 AA, so that people with disabilities can read the website with a variety of screen readers, have the ability to make the text bigger and ensure colour blind people can see links clearly.
