The challenge

Owner and scissor connoisseur Maggie Fox came to us with over 20 years' experience in digital marketing, but needed someone who understood how to build an online store from the ground up. She had made an enormous amount of headway already, sourcing her product line and designing her logo and packaging materials. She simply needed a website that showcased her wares with style, and could enable transactions with ease.

The solution

Together with the client, we worked to customize a Shopify theme so that a host of native ecommerce features were at her fingertips, and we could hard-code certain features she wanted into the theme. The platform has the right mix of a user-interface for admin and content changes, and an accessible code base created in Liquid. We implemented the client's content, advised her about store set-up, shipping, and product page design, as well as integrated Klaviyo so she could deploy advanced email marketing strategies. This new company was then able to do more than $5000 worth of sales in its first three weeks online!
